Seniors Still Driving While Using Cell Phones
October 11, 2010 0 CommentsI read a recent report from Missouri about a law there banning drivers 21 years old or younger from texting while driving. I thought that law was extended to everyone! But it appears to be a State mandated thing and not a Federal offense.
What was noteworthy about the article was that they want to extend that law to older folks as well. They claim that elderly drivers are guilty of the same offenses much of the time, texting or talking on their cell phones while driving.
This brings me to a great point about the Jitterbug phone. This is the only phone that I know of that offers a great service with it. There are many other phones targeted towards seniors out there. But the Jitterbup phone offers an operator services that will place calls for you and basically act as sort of a conceirge. This is perfect for seniors on the go and can help avoid driving accidents!
If you have not already, check out the Jitterbug phone plans and services.
